Beans are full of fiber, an ingredient that is essential for bowel health, whether you want to lose, gain, or maintain a healthy weight. There are many are healthful Beans recipes. For curried beans, add cloves, tomatoes and garlic to sautéed onions, then add a can of drained red kidney beans, chili powder, garum masala and seasoning. Add a little water and simmer for 10 minutes before adding cilantro to serve.

For beans and rice, pour two drained cans of different beans into an oven dish and add chopped onions, green bell pepper, olive oil and bay leaves. Cook until sauce thickens, then add salt, vinegar and sugar. Serve with rice and smoked sausage.
