Indigestion is extremely common during pregnancy and so papaya can be extremely helpful for those facing the issue of indigestion during pregnancy. Papaya’s raw skin is one of the best sources of vitamin A benefits and vitamin C. These vitamins could be very useful in various health conditions like heartburn and inflammatory bowel problem.

Papaya is only able to be useful if eaten when fully ripe. Unripe papaya in pregnancy causes natural initiation of labor if you eat it inside the final days of pregnancy. Unripe papaya has highly concentrated latex that causes early contractions. The latex concentration gets reduced since the papaya ripens. When it is fully ripe how much latex gets reduced to hardly any or almost zero.

Once you understand the causes of heartburn after that you can begin to Papaya remedy heartburn. You’ll discover that there are many natural food remedies you can test. Your choice of natural food medicine, whether it’s a fruit or herb, depends upon your preference, your health, and how good the substance works for taking care of your symptoms.

The situation with papaya is majorly because of this latex which contains 2 main enzymes Body is papain and the other is chymopapain. Both these enzymes can cause physical abnormalities within the development of an unborn baby or can also induce abortion inside a pregnant woman. Papain increases the risks of uterine contraction which leads to abortion. Therefore, the consequences of eating papaya in pregnancy may be adverse for the mother and the baby.

That is why papaya is believed being dangerous during pregnancy. Even if there is the slightest quantity of latex present in papaya, it can cause early labor which can lead to miscarriage or abortion. So while eating papaya in pregnancy it becomes most important that the pregnant woman eats just the fully ripe papaya.

Papaya needs to be completely avoided whilst in the early stage of pregnancy because because stage the placenta gets formed and a good fraction of latex may cause harm to the womb. Furthermore, by simply looking at a papaya, how can we make out that there is no latex contained in it? It is not possible to judge the ripeness of a papaya by simply looking at it. Thus in order to avoid the disaster it can bring, it is better never to eat papaya while pregnant.

In this way though papaya in pregnancy can be useful, it is important to confirm its ripeness as a good small amount of latex can be dangerous and could cause serious complications. Therefore, if you aren't 100% sure of the ripeness of papaya, do not try eating it.
